Investigations aimed at establishing whether the content of a certain digital document has been partially or totally manipulated.
Knowledge in documentology and physical forgeries is combined with computer science and specific forensic software, with which it can be determined:
- alterations prior to digitization
- information hidden from the document file and verification of its content
- digitally manipulated areas with image editing programs (Photophop, Corel, Paint, etc.)
