This reagent consists of staining the dead epithelial cells that are a product of skin desquamation and present in latent prints.
It can be used for any type of surface, especially plastic and latex-based. But it stands out mainly for being ideal for revealing on adhesive tapes (to catch), due to its high sensitivity to the fat and sebaceous fraction of the residue that make up the fingerprints, having proven to be extremely effective on the vast majority of tapes that can be found conventionally (masking tapes, insulating tapes, packing tape, etc.).
Using this reagent, the revealed traces show a blue-violet color that often presents, in print pattern, small colored dots due to clumps of flaking material (cells) that detaches from the skin and that are retained by the glue of the tape.
Presentation content: 100 ml. crystal violet solution.
